February Favorites

Hi hello how is it already MARCH?! Sheesh I feel like just the other day I was writing my resolutions for the new year! I feel like the months just fly by these days…anyone else? However, with the end of one month comes the opportunity for my favorite post, monthly¬†favorites! Let’s begin, shall we? Dry Shampoo. I have been trying to get on the no hair-washing bandwagon for the past month or so. Man is that a tough one. If I’m being honest, I’m not sure that it’s really for me. I don’t style my hair all that often, so basically I’m just walking around with greasy hair all the time. It’s not even like the cute second-day curls that you see other bloggers with, it’s just me rocking my ragamuffin frizz…ya feel? Anyways, with this new challenge, I’ve been trying to find the best dry shampoo for my hair, and of the three that I’ve tried thus far, this has been my favorite! The best part? They make one for both lighter and darker hair tones! Cowboy Caviar Salsa. Cue one of my greatest Trader Joe’s finds, you guys. It is amazing. It’s such a great alternative to your […]

Apple AirPods Review

I’ll admit, I’m a bit of a technology junkie. Correction, I’m a bit of an Apple technology junkie. I’d like to think that I’d scoff at the latest and greatest product that that little fruit-logo’ed company pumps out; but truth be told, I drink the Koolaid. Hard. So it came as no surprise when Apple released their latest AirPods and I was intrigued. The elimination of any chords at all paired with Apple’s classic sleek design, they were definitely easy on the eyes. And priced slightly under Beats headphones had me really wanting to give them a shot. My boyfriend received his pair for Christmas which gave me the perfect opportunity to try before I buy. What’s his is mine right?! Joking, joking. Anyways, we were on vacation and he lent me his shiny new AirPods to try out while I lounged in the sun. From that moment on, I was hooked. Let me start this rave about these headphones by saying that this is not sponsored or anything, I just really love these things. I know that they are not for everyone, so I’ll try and highlight the small (and honestly, insignificant to some) details about why I like […]

January Favorites

I’m sorry, can someone please tell me how January 2019 is already gone?! Part of me feels like that month lasted forever but then another part of me feels like I blinked and now it’s February. Geez. Anyways, with the end of the month, I wanted to bring back a post I had really enjoyed sharing, monthly favorites. If you’re new here, monthly favorites are any items I purchase, find, or discover in the last month that I really loved. It can be anything: a beauty product, a certain wine, food, a clothing item, literally anything. I just recently moved, so some of these may have been from December, but they’re too good not to share. So here we have it, in no particular order, my monthly favorites for January. My new coffee creamer combo. So I’m not sure if any of you know this, but I am obsessed with hazelnut coffee. I buy the Hazelnut Creme pods from Bread Co (for all you non-St. Louis folks, I’m talking about Panera), and was previously adding in a hazelnut flavored creamer. However, since the creamer was giving me some serious tummy issues, I swapped it out for some half and half […]

Life + Blog Update

Hello and welcome back! Clearly, there’s been quite a few changes going on around here, and I hope to share them with you throughout today’s post. First and foremost, let’s address the elephant in the room: the blog got a facelift and a name change. Why? Welp, as much as I loved Made in Missouri, I felt like it was confusing for people, and no longer reflected my personality. Of course, St. Louis, MO will always be so special to me and I place I’ll always call home. But since I haven’t lived there for nearly 8 (!!!) years, I figured it was time to switch to a name that was more reflective of me and what I do. Additionally, I wanted to shift the focus of my blog a little, so I felt that a name change would pair nicely with my full re-branding. While I loved doing full-fledged fashion blogging, I never quite felt like I fit in. Yes, I dress up on occasion, but I found myself purchasing and wearing items solely because they allowed me to fit into this glam idea of what it meant to be a blogger. When it really comes down to it, […]
